Black Framed Black & White Ocean Quadruptic

The etchings are Aquatint, Aquaforte and sugar lift, on copperplates, printed on Rives BFK heavyweight acid free Cotton paper.  

This is a two plate etching.

I love the contrast of the two different black tones between the printed boarder and the inserted Kelp Forest Animal. The boarder plate is inked and printed in a silver black with a tint of midnight blue and symbolizes the movement of the ocean waves. 

The Kelp Forest animals inside is printed with a sepia & Burnt Siena color mixed into the silver black.This gives the images a nice contrast and richnes.
