The Blanket Flower - Seed dreaming to grow

This flower was ‘discovered’ at the exploration of Lewis & Clark in Montana. Its was called blanket flower because it was colored much like the brightly woven blankets of the Native Americans who lived in the area where the plant was first found.

I placed the seed of the Blanket flower onto the leaf of the flower huddled into a colorful blanket.

The etchings are Aquatint and Aquaforte etchings on copperplates, printed on Rives BFK heavyweight acid free Cotton paper.

The image size of the Etching is 5x12 , printed with two overlapping etching plates. Matted size 16x20 and they are available framed or matted
